We're taking a look at 10 of HyunJin's best performances that showcase both his dancing prowess and powerful stage presence that captures the heart of STAYs as well as netizens.

Note: This is not a ranking

1. 'God's Menu'

Perfectly embodying the aggressive arrogant energy of 'God's Menu', HyunJin executed the choreography with intensity and such effortlessness. This era particularly became a fan favorite because of his overwhelming stage presence and facial expressions.

2. 'Psycho'- Red Velvet (Cover by '00s) MusicBank

HyunJin perfectly maintains the androgynous energy here as he grouped with AB6IX's DaeHwi ,ASTRO's SanHa, and Golden Child's BoMin, the '00 liners, to perform an iconic cover of Red Velvet's Psycho. He executed the moves elegantly and poured out some smooth vocals as well.

3. 'Motley Crew' by Post Malone (Cover) - Studio CHOOM

HyunJin is a complete dancing devil in this piece proving well why he was chosen as Artist of the Month for October 2021. With his natural swag and charisma, he bursts into this masterpiece of choreography doing full justice to it.

4. 'Play With Fire' - Sam Tinnesz ft. Yacht Money (Choreography)

HyunJin burns bright like fire in this cinematic dance piece. This work is another testament to not only his beautiful choreographies but how he constantly improves and evolves them. He portrays a range of emotions from anxiety to dominance delivering a story that is a work of a true artist.

5. 'Back Door'

Along with the debut of his eternally praised long locks, HyunJin smashed the 'Back Door' stage performances. His genuine enjoyment along with well-executed moves makes sure that 'Back Door' enters this list.

6. SAAY - CIRCLE ft. Tish Hyman (Cover)

HyunJin performed with SF9's Chani and IZ*ONE's MinJu on Show!MusicCore. The trio each did a solo before proceeding to give a group performance. HyunJin starts off powerfully in a blindfold and then proceeds to remove it and give an all-round performance by showcasing his vocals. His powerful pops, body control, and impressive musicality are a sight to see.

7. 'when the party's over'- Billie Eilish (Choreography)

Releasing this beautiful and passionate dance of Billie Eilish's 'when the party's over', HyunJin showed not only his grip on modern dance but also his choreography abilities. HyunJin revealed that he wanted to convey the feeling of emptiness that accompanies post a concert. Giving expression to this, he gave an emotionally charged performance that grabbed the hearts of many.

8. 'MIROH'

'MIROH' was one of those stages that cemented his position as an idol with one of the best stage presences in his generation. A powerful song, the choreography of 'MIROH' is quite expressive and HyunJin performs it in its full essence with his expressions delivering every lyric.

9. 'Thunderous'

Making their comeback in full glory, 'Thunderous' sees Stray Kids in their signature sound and aggressive style. HyunJin nails the extremely intricate choreography with agility and control while oozing out the king vibe of the song.

10. 'Criminal'- SHINee's TaeMin (Cover)

Covering TaeMin is a challenge in itself and delivering it with the same efficacy and vibe, even more. But HyunJin proved just how good he is with his cover of 'Criminal' embodying perfect sharpness and fluidity.

HyunJin had no formal training in dance before becoming a trainee so it is an admirable feat that he has achieved such a great mastery in dancing through his sheer hard work and grit.

If a fan got into K-Pop for the music, another fan got into K-Pop for the personalities of members off-stage. It’s mesmerizing to watch boy groups perform on stage—the energy is unmatched. However, it’s also just as juicy to get to watch a boy group’s variety programs and realize that they have so much dimension as performers.

Amongst the different types of personalities of members in boy groups, we have the “Sunshine” category. An undeniably valuable category in a group, when a member gains this status, and it’s no surprise that fans love a group more when this dynamic is in place. So, in this article, we’ll be talking about 6 sunshine boys of some 3rd and 4th Gen K-Pop boy groups that we adore. We KNOW you’ll love them too, if you don’t already.

1. NCT’s HaeChan

NCT 127's Official Instagram

Lee DongHyuck, NCT member. His stage name, HaeChan, literally translates to sunshine. With his quick-witted personality and his cure charms, there’s hardly anything to hate about HaeChan. Though his hyungs in NCT 127 love to tease him, and his mates in NCT DREAM live to play games with him, it’s beautifully obvious that they care deeply for HaeChan, and they love how he brings brightness and life to the atmosphere. The members love his sunshine energy, we love it and his other idol friends love it, too. He’s literally a walking, breathing sunshine of an idol, and we cannot explain how much we adore that.

2. Stray Kids’s Felix

Stray Kids's Official Instagram

We’re pretty sure anyone, even a K-Pop fan who isn’t a STAY, can tell that Felix is a ray of light. His fellow Stray Kids's members know this. It’s almost impossible to tease Felix, because while the others are playfully at each other’s throats, Felix is there to add kind fun to the members’ mischievousness. He's almost never in the squabbling the members like to engage in, but you can’t take your eyes off him. He’s a breathe of fresh air personified, and what’s not to love about that? Let’s not forget to mention his swoon-worthy smile too. He quite literally beams when he smiles.

3. SEVENTEEN’s DK

DK's Instagram

We cannot get enough! DK is the reason some of us began to love SEVENTEEN’s personas off-stage. He is so bright and so funny and so cutely clueless sometimes that it never fails to make the members laugh or sigh at how he's started again. Either way, we can tell that both the SEVENTEEN boys and us fans know just how valuable DK's sunlight is to our lives. Even better is when DK and Hoshi are paired up. Now if that isn’t a power sunshine duo! But DK alone is everything bright and light and so much more. We’re so thankful to stan him.

4. THE BOYZ’s Jacob

Jacob's Instagram

For any The B (a THE BOYZ’s fan), it’s difficult picking a favorite member because they all have their lovable quirks. However, we’d say it’s pretty obvious that Jacob is the sunshine of this group for a lot of reasons. While the members are being their chaotic selves, Jacob sits in the fun, bringing a sort of balance. His calming, clear light of a personality shines through in a silent way. We don’t forget to mention how softly and soothingly Jacob talks and smiles. That alone is enough to make you beam as well, and if that isn’t some unique sunshine energy, we sure don’t know what is.

5. BTS’s j-hope

j-hope's Instagram

A list of sunshine boys is not complete without one of the OG sunshine boys—j-hope. From the beginning of BTS’s whirlwind career, j-hope has been the member with the smiles and the jokes and the upbeat energy. He was the glue sometimes, making sure the members weren’t feeling to disheartened. His invaluable input as the bright member in the group is something we appreciate and we love. J-hope is the sunshine boy who stays the sunshine to pull the group up. Admirable and valiant, that’s his species of sunshine.

6. P1HARMONY’s Soul

P1HARMONY's Official Instagram

Being part of the maknae line in P1HARMONY, you’d think Soul would take advantage of it to secure his Maknae On Top status. But he doesn’t need to do too much; his personality is so funnily odd and quirky that he’s certain to make his hyungs and JongSeob laugh just being himself. When he’s quiet, he’s quiet. But the minute he opens his mouth, there’s a fun to the air that’s odd and yet refreshing. We love how his sunshine energy isn’t the typical type, but is just as captivating. Fans of this budding star boy group certainly know Soul is an irreplaceable asset to the life of P1HARMONY, both talent-wise and personality-wise.
